Wild Horses Standing in Birch Trees I - 40" x 30"

Ghost horses standing in a grove of birch trees. Working with a spectrum of colors that progresses along the photo the colors carry from landscape to trees to horses. Using a whitewash, a ghost-like appearance of the horses creates a dream-like feeling. My inspiration came from a 'Birches', a mixed media triptych on black hardboard I completed during Covid winter 2020. 

Wild Horses Standing in Birch Trees I was the fifth completed painting of the Wild Horse Series and the Wild Horse Series - The Original Six created in Spring of 2022 in my Asheboro, NC studio.

Original painting is 40" x 30" x 1.5" (101.6cm x 76.2cm). Acrylic on primed canvas, two layers of UV protective clear varnish. Certificate of Authenticity and Artist Information on back of the painting.
