Grandmother's Antiquities - 30" x40"

This is a painting that took months to evolve. It began as a pure abstract but as the color patterns emerged, I thought of the iconic grandmother's wall with flowered wallpaper and framed photos and treasure hung. It even smells a bit musty (not really). The final inspiration happened when I thought of a photo of my great grandmother on her horse and then it all came together. This is a thickly rich textured painting, the depth hard to see here. Email me for more detail photos!

Grandmother's Antiquities is part of the Pattern Collection - completed in Summer of 2022 in my Asheboro, NC studio.

Original painting is 30" x 40" x 1.5" (76.2 cm x 101.6cm). Acrylic on primed canvas, two layers of UV protective clear varnish. Certificate of Authenticity and Artist Information on back of the painting.
