A Child's Tale

I felt like a child again painting this. It reminded me of a new box of crayons, how special they were, the colors and the smell! I had no idea how this painting would evolve, but I wanted to work with whimsical architecture and a medieval port city feel. The three globes were originally part of a different vision but the working of them into this narrative feels right. And small horses in the background before a full moon adds the drama I was seeking. The small boats in the harbor enchant me the most.

This painting is heavily textured.
